David's mother's name is Ellen.  She never made it to five feet tall, topping out at 4'11".  For a lot of her life Ellen wanted a personalized license plate that said "LIL LN" (Little Ellen).  One of Ellen's granddaughters would call Ellen "Little Grandma" to differentiate Ellen from the granddaughter’s other, much taller, grandmother.  We initially wanted to call this upper, upper, loft "Grandma's Hideout", but subsequently decided to personalize it in remembrance of Ellen by calling it "Lil' Grandma's Hideout".  It is no surprise to us that "Lil' Grandma's Hideout" is often the most popular place in the cabin for children to hang out.
